It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Selena Angelisse Hernandez, 14, who peacefully left us at home on May 13, 2026.
Born in Middletown, NY, Selena was the beloved daughter of Daniel and Becky Hernandez. She was a bright and lively student at Minisink Valley Middle School, where she participated actively in school activities. Selena was a valued member of the Minisink Valley School Band and Choir, sharing her musical talents and brightening school events. She loved cheerleading, performing in school plays, and cherished her time spent with friends and family. Her vibrant laugh and caring, protective spirit endeared her to everyone she knew.
Selena’s warmth and joyful personality left a lasting impression on all who met her. She was known for her kindness, her infectious smile, and her ability to bring happiness to those around her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Becky and Daniel Hernandez; her brother Gabriel (Jillian); sisters Ayana (Diosbelison) and Athena; nieces Rhiannon and Aleida; paternal grandparents Ed and Jeanie Dall; maternal grandparents Bill and Patty Krenrich; great grandparents Dorothy Krenrich and Linda Biehl; along with aunts Lisa, Becky, Margaret, Ally, Michelle, Karen, Desiree, Brittany; uncles Peter Hernandez, Tyler, Chris, and Joe; and numerous cousins including Camryn, Paisley, Luke, Reagan, Valentina, Kaylee, Harris, Alexa-Jayde, Carter, Richie, Juliana, Gunnar, Jacob, Ethan, Matthew, and Johnathan. Her large extended family will forever cherish her memory.
