It is with great sadness that we share the tragic passing of Adrianne Lynn “Annie” Hallauer, a vibrant 17-year-old from Bedford, Virginia. Annie was taken from us too soon on May 14, 2026, due to injuries sustained in a devastating automobile accident. Born on September 19, 2008, Annie was the beloved daughter of David Andrew Hallauer and Lisa Smith Hallauer. She was also predeceased by her half-sister, Angel Marie Hallauer, and her boyfriend, Timmy Gibson, both of whom also lost their lives in the same accident.
Annie was a joyful, creative, and outgoing young woman whose presence touched everyone she met. She had a passion for art—drawing and painting—and loved spending time at the beach, creating memories with family and friends. Her love for soccer was evident, having been coached by her father, and she enjoyed playing video games such as SIMS and Call of Duty. Annie also took pride in her appearance, often doing her makeup and getting her nails done, and she was active on social media. She previously played the clarinet in her school band, and her favorite color was teal blue. Annie’s unconditional love for her family was a defining trait, and her infectious personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Annie is survived by her loving parents, David and Lisa; her sister, Chyna Leigh Hallauer; her brother, James Drayton Smith; paternal grandparents Rick and Diane Hallauer; maternal grandparents Robbie and Angelina Smith; two great-grandmothers, Gloria Johnston and Marietta Smith; and her beloved godparents, Lakesia Glover and Nathan Aponte. She is also remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her cherished four-legged companions—Allie, Hazel, and her late dog, Sassy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie’s memory may be made to the Bedford Humane Society, supporting the animals she loved so dearly. Annie’s spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
