It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Eileen M. Gannon, a beloved community member and the dedicated owner of Gannon’s Isle in Syracuse. Eileen passed away peacefully on May 17 at the age of 68. Her loss is profoundly felt by her family, friends, and the entire Syracuse community.
Eileen Gannon was more than just the owner of one of Syracuse’s most cherished ice cream parlors—she was a pillar of her community. Her unwavering dedication to her business and her generous support of local causes exemplified her compassionate spirit and deep love for the city she called home. Gannon’s Isle was not only a place for ice cream but a gathering spot where memories were made and community bonds were strengthened.
Throughout her life, Eileen demonstrated a passion for service, kindness, and community involvement. She supported numerous local initiatives, always eager to give back and uplift those around her. Calling hours for Eileen Gannon will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Most Holy Rosary Church, located at 111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse. A funeral mass to honor her life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 22, at the same church. Her family, friends, and community members are invited to gather and pay tribute to a remarkable woman whose impact will be remembered for years to come.
