We were heartbroken to learn of the passing of Ashley Pace this morning. Ashley was a beloved member of the Martin Elementary community for many years. She attended Martin as a child herself, and later returned as a dedicated parent and volunteer alongside her husband. Together, they generously gave their time, energy, and support to our school, our students, and our families. Whether it was helping at events, supporting teachers, or simply showing up whenever help was needed, Ashley never missed an opportunity to make a positive impact on our community.
Ashley’s kindness, warmth, and genuine love for others touched so many lives. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated. Her spirit and generosity will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The loss is deeply felt throughout our school community, and our hearts are with her family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
In the comments, we will be sharing links for those who would like to support Ashley’s family, as well as resources to help students, parents, and families navigate grief and loss. We know this news may be especially difficult for children, and we encourage families to lean on one another and seek support when needed.
As we remember Ashley, we also remember the joy and positivity she brought into the lives of others. One of her favorite reminders was simple, but meaningful: “Slow down, enjoy life.” Those words will continue to stay with us and serve as a beautiful reflection of the way Ashley lived her life—with compassion, gratitude, and love.
Please keep the Pace family in your thoughts and prayers.
