The community of East Palatka is deeply mourning the heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Kinley Danielle Langston, who passed away on May 7, 2026. Born on March 21, 2012 in St. Augustine, Kinley was the beloved daughter of Quincy Chase Langston and Christian Danielle Gibbs, and a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.
Kinley will be remembered for the joy she carried so naturally and the warmth of her smile, which had a way of lifting the spirits of everyone around her. Her presence brought light into every room, and her kindness left a lasting impression on family, friends, classmates, and all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
She found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments—spending time with her family, caring for her cherished cats Tinkerbell, Biscuit, and Tigger, and enjoying peaceful days by the river collecting glass bottles or relaxing at the beach. Whether she was building with Legos, listening to music, or making jewelry, Kinley expressed creativity and curiosity in everything she did. She especially loved her favorite color, green, and had a fondness for flowers, plants, Hello Kitty, chocolate, sweets, and even her beloved Red Bull, each of which brought her small moments of joy.
Kinley shared a special bond with her family, taking pride in her younger brother Finn and lovingly teasing her older brother Brittan. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Destini Gibbs, and is lovingly survived by her parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and her closest friend, Virginia Beahn.
Her passing leaves an immeasurable void, but her memory will continue to live on through the love she gave so freely. Kinley’s life is a reminder to cherish every moment, to love deeply, and to hold close those who matter most.
She will be forever remembered, deeply missed, and eternally loved.
