It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Samir Davis Brimzy, who left this life on May 13, 2026, at just 1 year and 5 months old. Born on December 19, 2024, in Houston, Texas, to Sammy and Brittney (Davis) Brimzy, Samir was a beautiful soul whose brief presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Throughout his short life, Samir displayed remarkable strength and resilience. Despite the challenges he faced, his spirit remained unwavering, and his heart was filled with love and warmth. His parents, Sammy and Brittney, cherished every moment with him, and they want his memory to serve as a testament to the joy and love he brought into their lives. His bright smile and gentle nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Samir is now at peace, embraced by the love of his sister and grandparents in heaven, where he is forever held and cherished. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is surrounded by love, resting in the eternal embrace of those who have gone before him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shai’Tajah Lotts; maternal great-grandparents, Cora Lee and Bobby Whaley, Sr.; and paternal great-grandmother, Alice Mae Gooden. He is survived by his loving parents; siblings, Shai’La Mosley, Dekimbe Mosley Jr., Ace Brimzy, and his twin sister, Samiriah Brimzy; maternal grandmother, Mary Whaley; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
A homegoing service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Dr. Charleton T. Greene will officiate, with visitation from 12 noon until the service begins.
