Authorities have confirmed the identities of two men killed in a targeted shooting in Vaughan on the evening of May 13, 2026. The victims have been identified by the Office of the Chief Coroner as 49-year-old Pasquale Casciato and 34-year-old Christian Belsito, both residents of Vaughan, Ontario.
According to York Regional Police, officers from the Homicide Unit were called to a residence in the area of Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When emergency responders arrived, they discovered two men outside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators have confirmed that the deaths resulted from gunshot injuries and are treating the incident as a targeted attack. Police have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety at this time, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Detectives are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including potential motives and any connections between the victims and suspects. Authorities are also working to gather and review surveillance footage from the surrounding area.
