Authorities have confirmed the identities of two men killed in a targeted shooting in Vaughan on the evening of May 13, 2026. The victims have been identified by the Office of the Chief Coroner as 49-year-old Pasquale Casciato and 34-year-old Christian Belsito, both residents of Vaughan, Ontario.
According to York Regional Police, officers from the Homicide Unit were called to a residence in the area of Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When emergency responders arrived, they discovered two men outside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by first responders, both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators have confirmed that the deaths resulted from gunshot injuries and are treating the incident as a targeted attack. Police have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety at this time, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
