According to the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office, Eric was tragically killed in a shooting incident that occurred around 5:21 a.m. Police responded promptly to the scene, where they attempted to provide aid. Despite their efforts, Eric succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, described as wearing a beanie and mask, arrived on a bicycle, carrying a long gun and a clear plastic bag, but remains at large. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
Eric was remembered by friends on social media as “a good man” and “a solid friend,” though some acknowledged he had a rowdy past. His loss underscores the tragic toll of violence and serves as a stark reminder of the importance of community safety and support.
The porch and security gate outside Eric’s home at 2518 46th Avenue have become a makeshift memorial, adorned with flowers, cans of Red Bull, a traffic cone, and a high-visibility work vest from SFWD CDD Operations. These tokens of remembrance reflect the love and respect his community held for him.
